David Shannon is definitely one of, if not my absolute, favorite authors to do social studies and social-emotional learning activities within the classroom. It’s so much fun using Shannons’s books because they bring a lot of humor and relatability to kids. I’ve made a selection of my favorite “No, David!” themed activities, below. Some of the first books my kiddos always choose to look at and read are the David stories by David Shannon. These activities are perfect to practice Literacy Standards as well as appropriate behaviors and responses.
