How to Leave Feedback on TPT Purchases & Score Store Credit for Your Classroom
As teachers, we’re always seeking out fresh, engaging resources for our lesson plans and classroom activities. Innovative materials make all the difference in capturing students’ interest and inspiring their progress. Luckily, the teacher marketplace at TeachersPayTeachers (TPT) offers an abundance of creative downloads curated by fellow educators like you.
And TPT wants to reward you for purchasing then implementing new materials in your classroom.
That’s why TPT offers teachers the opportunity to earn up to 50% of purchase prices back in credits by leaving helpful feedback on your orders. The credits can then be used site-wide to keep the ideas flowing all year without breaking your classroom budget.
Why Should Teachers Make a Habit of Leaving Feedback?
We get that you’re busy educating students day in and out. Taking time to provide TPT purchase feedback may feel like just another to-do on your long list. But along with scoring you more funds to spend in the future, constructive commentary also:
- Helps sellers understand how their products are being used with objective student audiences and make helpful tweaks
- Provides fellow teacher buyers insight on implementation to guide their purchasing
- Gives your specific classroom visibility and exposure as part of the product experience
Overall, sharing your authentic perspectives strengthens resources available to the entire teaching community while fueling your own lesson planning. Now that’s the kind of win-win exchange we like to see!
What Products Can I Leave Feedback For?
Nearly any purchase in your TPT order history is eligible for feedback credits within 60 days of downloading a product for the first time. This includes:
As long as you’ve invested your well-earned dollars on downloads intended to make your school days shine, TPT wants to hear your voice on how they performed or could be even better.
What Feedback Format Does TPT Recommend?
TPT makes leaving helpful feedback simple through its system. Follow these steps for feedback that scores you credits and helps the TPT community:
Give your honest rating on your overall experience using the materials from extremely disappointing (1 star) to extremely impressed (5 stars)!
Elaborate on what worked well or could be improved in 2-3 sentences. Be constructive and professional in tone.
You’ll know your feedback is published successfully when your purchase shows a feedback badge and rating under My Purchases. Then just check your TPT account credits to watch them add up!
Teacher Questions Answered on TPT Purchase Feedback
We know time is in short supply for busy educators, so let’s tackle some common questions on giving feedback efficiently and maximizing credits earned:
Feedback cannot be left until 60 days after the initial download to allow adequate use in the classroom before reviewing.
You can receive account credits equal to 50% of the item purchase price. For example, leaving feedback for a $5 resource nets $2.50 in credits.
No sweat! Feedback is optional and has no bearing on being able to redownload purchases in the future if needed. But earning up to half your money back is nice!
Comment constructively based on actual usage, but contact sellers directly through TPT Messages if issue clarification is needed beforehand.
Can Credits Apply to Any Products Site-wide?
Yes, TPT credits earned from feedback can enhance your budget on any downloads except some third-party products with restrictions.
Now that you know how easy and rewarding sharing your classroom insights after purchases can be, we hope you’ll make TPT feedback part of your routine! Just think of all the inspiration you can stock up on for your students with credits in the bank.
